Many garage, ADU and accessory building manufacturers offer ‘bare’, assembly line structures that are pre-fabricated in a factory using ‘OSB” (Wood Chips Compressed together in a formaldehyde Resin) and dropped off on your property. Available in only certain sizes and delivered as blank ‘shells’, they rarely arrive with interior walls, lighting, flooring or even insulation. As such, you are responsible to locate, interview and hire contractors to install the foundation, any electrical work, sheetrock, insulation, plumbing and/or heating you may be considering. You will also need to apply for zoning approval and submit separate building permits for the building itself and any electrical, plumbing or heating you opt for.
Unlike assembly line buildings, Liamar structures are constructed in-place and from the ground-up using premium lumber, exactly as you envision.
